Our loosely spun Soft Silk by BC Garn made of Bourette silk has the pleasant climate properties of silk, but is not as cool or as smooth as many mulberry silk yarns. Because: After the long-fiber mulberry silk was extracted from the main part of the cocoon, you use their remains to make the Bourette silk. This "waste product" with its irregularities has its price: a cheap one.
Dyed with AZO-free and OEKO-TEX® certified colors.
Attention: Dyeing silk in these deep colors requires a lot of dye. So it may be that the piece of knitting bleeds a bit during the first wash or rubs off something when worn. We recommend rinsing in cold water with a little vinegar before first wearing.
